The Importance of Nutrition

Nutrition is taking the nutrients to the body and using them to provide growth and development, and to take enough energy to live healthy and efficient.  When nutrients are not provided enough or provided too much, it prevents the growth and development of the body and distorts health.  However, it shouldn’t be forgotten that nutrition is not only a physiological but also a sociological and psychological event. Eating disorders appear in these aspects. Recently, these disorders appear  as seeing oneself too fat, rejecting to eat, or eating bingely among young people.

As a result, serious health problems occur by not taking enough food or taking too much food. Therefore, the conscious of enough and balanced eating should be supported for every age group. Besides, the support of nutrition is important for diagnoses such as Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism. So, a nutrition program determined by a doctor, affects treatment process positively.

You shouldn’t forget that healthy nutrition leads to healthy childhood; healthy childhood leads to healthy youth; healthy youth leads to healthy adulthood and healthy adulthood leads to wise old age.
